Safer Communities and Accountable Public Services

"Public

Families should feel safe going to work, running a business and taking part in village life. A secure environment is also essential for education and local development in Shri Khadoor Sahib.

Put public trust first

People need accessible ways to raise concerns and understand where to follow up. Public services should listen respectfully, communicate clearly and handle complaints fairly. Accountability and respect for individual rights belong at the centre of this work.

Take community concerns seriously

Shopkeepers, farmers, workers and families may experience safety concerns in different ways. Regular dialogue between residents and the relevant authorities can help identify recurring issues and practical improvements in public spaces.

Give young people constructive pathways

Education, mentoring, sport and skills training can strengthen participation and a sense of belonging. Young people should be encouraged to develop their abilities and contribute to community life, without being stereotyped because of their background or circumstances.

Share information responsibly

Unverified allegations and rumours can harm people and undermine trust. Community discussion should focus on verified concerns, respect privacy and support appropriate official processes.

Residents can use our Contact page to share general concerns about public services or village infrastructure. For an urgent safety matter, contact the appropriate emergency or official service directly. Our role is to listen, document community priorities and support responsible follow-up.
